1000Km of the Hungaroring

Situated 19 km from the centre of Budapest, the Hungaroring was created in 1986 when Formula 1 decided to cross the Iron Curtain. The 16 bends of this slow and very narrow circuit make overtaking practically impossible despite the addition of a rapid stretch in 2003, giving it the nickname of "Turnstile". A successful qualification session, correct grip adjustments of the car, intense concentration of the drivers, combined with a sharp refuelling strategy -a must in endurance racing- will be the ingredients required for victory.

An interesting new challenge for the Le Mans Series competitors who will be battling there in a night race. May they be as lucky as the F1 drivers who only suffered rain once on the Hungarian circuit!
